In its 2019 edition, Elderlemon Design was owned and operated by award-winning author Kealan Patrick Burke. The studio created covers for print and digital books, beginning with the author’s brief and using stock artwork and original photography to reflect the story.

The archived studio description records a collaborative process: agree the concept, schedule the project, then develop the cover with the client’s input. It listed a turnaround of up to ten days from the scheduled start, excluding additional revision time.

By the archived edition, the portfolio included work for more than seventy authors, among them Tim Lebbon, Brian Keene, Scott Nicholson, Richard Laymon, Bentley Little, Hugh Howey, J. Carson Black and Vincent Zandri.
